Twitter memories

Twitter was just down for a few short minutes, and I got the fail whale for the first time in years. (First time at least in a non-ironic context, like a tattoo (yes) (not mine), or as art in a story about Twitter’s uptime.)

Which got me thinking back to the early days of Twitter. Remember when:

• The question was: “What are you doing?”
• The default icon was a brown googly-eyed face, not an egg
• Hashtags weren’t in-line links
